(May 5) – Lindsay Lohan made her first appearance on the set of ‘Ugly Betty’ last Saturday, May 3, after months of rumors surrounding her possible stint on the show.The troubled actress will appear in the May 22 ‘Ugly’ finale, as well as five episodes next season, playing Betty’s down-on-her-luck former schoolmate.
Lohanarrived early to the set and “really hit it off” with America Ferrera, the star of the series, MSNBC reports.
According to one industry insider, this role could make or break Lohan’s struggling career.
“She really, really needs this to go well. For the longest time she’s been getting terrible advice — that’s been obvious for quite some time. This is the first good decision she’s made from an acting standpoint since ‘Georgia Rule,’” the source said.
The insider added that it’s possible for Lohan rebound from her past troubles.
“Look what Robert Downey Jr. has done with his career. He was in much worse shape than Lindsay, and look what he did. She just needs to keep making good choices.”
